Nommée dans la catégorie « Révélations » aux Victoires de la Musique Classique, Jeanne Gérard a remporté une médaille d'or lors de la Manhattan International Music Competition, les Premier Prix, Prix du Public, Prix de l'Orchestre et des techniciens lors du Concours International de Chant de Mâcon, les Premier Prix et Prix Spécial du Jury au Concours International Léopold Bellan International, a été lauréate de Armel Opera Competition, et finaliste du Concorso Liricio Internazionale Ottavio Ziino, ainsi que du Concours International George Enescu.
Ses prises de rôles récentes incluent le role-titre de La Traviata à la Seine Musicale, Marzelline (Fidelio) à l’Opéra de Nice, le rôle-titre de Shirine, création mondiale de l’opéra de Thierry Escaich et Atiq Rahimi, à l’Opéra National de Lyon, Gilda (Un Rigoletto) au Théâtre des Champs Elysées et à l’Opéra de Rouen, Marie-Laure de Noailles pour le centenaire de la Villa Noailles en coproduction avec l’Opéra de Toulon, Pamina (Die Zauberflöte) au Grand Théâtre, Scène Nationale de Mâcon, Micaëla (Carmen) à la Seine Musicale, Sophie (Werther) à l’Opéra de Nice, Dorinda (The Tempest) et Second Woman (Dido and Aeneas) à La Grange au Lac avec la Cappella Mediterranea sous la direction de Leonardo García Alarcón, la Gardienne du temple (Die Frau ohne Schatten) sous la direction de Valery Gergiev dans le cadre du Festival de Verbier, le Feu/ Rossignol (doublure) dans la production de Richard Jones de L’Enfant et les sortilèges à l’Opéra National de Paris, l’Amour (Orfeo ed Euridice) au Palais des Arts de Budapest et à l’Opéra du Nord en Suède…
En musique de chambre, Jeanne Gérard a chanté à Carnegie Hall, à l’Amphithéâtre de l’Opéra Bastille, au Grand Théâtre de Provence, au Festival de Verbier, à Symphony Space, Danny Kaye Playhouse, Salle Gaveau, Salle Cortot… Sa participation aux projets discographiques Media Vita de Karol Beffa (Klarthe) et Shikoku de Johan Farjot (Alpha Classics) a été saluée par la critique.
Jeanne Gérard a obtenu son Master de chant lyrique à la Manhattan School of Music, où elle a étudié avec Patricia Misslin. Elle a participé aux masterclasses de Mariella Devia, Thomas Hampson, Thomas Quasthoff, Barbara Frittoli, Graham Johnson, Dalton Baldwin, Martin Katz, Jake Heggie, Daniel Mesguich… Elle a été membre de la Fondation Martina Arroyo, Equilibrium, Songfest et l’Atelier Lyrique du Festival de Verbier.
Jeanne a étudié en classe préparatoire littéraire à Henri IV et est titulaire d’une licence de philosophie de la Sorbonne. Elle a étudié le théâtre au Cours Simon puis auprès de Jean-Laurent Cochet, Scott Williams et Matt Newton ; elle a joué les rôles de Mrs Wire dans The Lady of Larkspur Lotion (T. Williams), Girl dans Mr Paradise (T. Williams) et Yelena dans Uncle Vanya (A. Chekhov) au Producers' Club de New-York. Jeanne Gérard chante également du jazz et s’est produite au Petit Journal Montparnasse à Paris, au Manderley Bar, au Bitter End et au Lounge à New-York. En danse, Jeanne s’est formée auprès de Mikaël Wattincourt et au Broadway Dance Center (spécialité « danse théâtre »).

Jeanne Gérard's latest debuts include the title roles of La Traviata at La Seine Musicale, Shirine (world premiere by Thierry Escaich and Atiq Rahimi) at the Opéra National de Lyon and Ressusciter la rose, Marie-Laure de Noailles, at La Villa Noailles/ Opéra de Toulon. She also made her role debut as Gilda (Rigoletto) at the Théâtre des Champs Elysées and at the Opéra de Rouen in a participative version, Marzelline (Fidelio) at the Opéra de Nice, Pamina (Die Zauberflöte) at the Grand Théâtre, Scène Nationale de Mâcon, and Micaëla (Carmen) at the Seine Musicale. Other recent opera credits include Sophie (Werther) at the Opéra de Nice, Dorinda (The Tempest) and The Second Woman (Dido and Aeneas) under the baton of Leonardo García Alarcón at La Grange au Lac, Der Hüter des Tempels (Die Frau ohne Schatten) under the baton of Valery Gergiev at the Verbier Festival, Le Feu/ Rossignol (cover) in Richard Jones’s production of L’Enfant et les sortilèges at the Opéra National de Paris and Amore (Orfeo ed Euridice) at Opera North in Sweden and Budapest Palace of Arts.

Jeanne Gérard was nominated for the Victoires de la Musique classique 2021 in the "Revelation" category. She is the recipient of the First Prize, the Audience Prize, the Orchestra and Technicians’ Prize of the Concours International de Chant de Mâcon, the First Prize and Special Prize of the Jury of Léopold Bellan International Competition, of a Golden Medal from Manhattan International Music Competition, and is a winner of Armel Opera Competition, as well as a finalist of Concorso Liricio Internazionale Ottavio Ziino and Concours International George Enescu.
Jeanne Gérard has earned a Master’s of classical voice from Manhattan School of Music, where she studied under the tutelage of Patricia Misslin. She took part in the masterclasses of Thomas Hampson, Thomas Quasthoff, Barbara Frittoli, Mariella Devia, Graham Johnson, Dalton Baldwin, Martin Katz, Jake Heggie, Giulio Zappa… Jeanne has been a member of the Martina Arroyo Foundation, Equilibrium, Songfest and the Atelier Lyrique of the Verbier Festival.
Jeanne studied humanities at Henri IV (classe préparatoire littéraire) and holds a bachelor degree in philosophy from la Sorbonne. She studied acting with Jean-Laurent Cochet, Scott Williams and Matt Newton, and played the roles of Mrs Wire in The Lady of Larkspur Lotion (T. Williams), Girl in Mr Paradise (T. Williams) and Yelena in Uncle Vanya (A. Chekhov) at the Producers' Club in New-York. She trained in dance at the Centre de Danse du Marais and at the Broadway Dance Center. She has performed in famous jazz clubs in Paris and New York such as Le Petit Journal Montparnasse, The Manderley Bar, The Bitter End and The Lounge. She received her dance training alongside Mikaël Wattincourt and at the Broadway Dance Center (theater dance).
